Soft Pretzels

Homemade Soft Pretzels

The easiest way that will make you stop buying them…
the recipe:
Is very easy and quickly without using electric mixer.
Two cups of Wheat flour ( all-purpose flour)
1/4 cup of warm water
A tablespoon of yeast with a pinch of sugar
1/2 cup of warm milk
50 gr butter
A teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of powdered sugar.

You need also 1 tablespoon coarse salt for the last step.

For the boiling water bath:
3 cups of water
3 tablespoons baking soda

1 tablespoon salt

How to make:
Stir the yeast into water with a pinch of sugar
Mix the flour with salt and sugar
Knead the flour with the butter first (by hand).
Then add the yeast and the warm milk.
Then knead very well until you get a soft dough that does not stick.
Ferment it in a warm place for about half an hour.
Then cut it into equal pieces from 6 to 8 pieces (the size is up to you).
Roll each one into a rope and wrapping its ends.
Stir 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of salt with boiling water.
Dunk your Pretzels into a baking soda/boiling water bath for about a minute.
Put them in the oven tray.
Before they enter the oven, sprinkle them with coarse salt.

Finally put them in the oven at 200 ° C for about 10-15 minutes
Until they get the amazing brown color and then you will taste the most delicious soft Pretzels ever.
They can be stored after being cooled in the freezer and heated in the microwave when needed.
